Showcasing how simple it is to make lovely, flavoured butters in a food processor. You can also use the orange skins to make a dressing.

  • Whipped Whole Orange, Basil and Sundried Tomato Butter

    Ingredients

    • 100g butter
    • 1 whole orange
    • shredded basil leaves
    • 1 tbsp finely chopped sundried tomato
  • Method

    • Take 100g of butter from the fridge for an hour to soften. If possible, use unsalted butter.
    • Add a whole orange to your Kenwood compact blender and blend into a paste, then add your sundried tomatoes and blend until combined; blend in your butter and basil leaves.
    • Put the flavoured butter onto a square of baking parchment, roll it around to form a sausage shape, and then close the ends to seal.
    • The butter can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days or up to a month in the freezer.
