Suitable for beginners
  • Ingredients

    • 1 Crusty White Loaf
    • 100g butter
    • 4 cloves garlic
    • 1tbsp parsley
    • Salt and pepper to season
    • 100g grated mozzarella
    • 100g grated cheddar
  • 1. Start by preheating your oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4.

    2. Finely chop the parsley and crush the garlic, before adding both to a heatproof bowl, along with the butter and plenty of salt and pepper.

    3. Place in the microwave for 30 seconds at full power, and then remove and stir.

    4. Microwave for a further 30 seconds and then set aside.

    5. With a sharp serrated knife, cut the bread into 1cm slices without cutting through the base.

    6. Put apart each of the slices and drizzle in the garlic butter mixture.

    7. Next, combine the two cheeses into a bowl before stuffing a generous pinch of the cheese blend between each of the bread slices.

    8. Finally, drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the surface of the loaf. You may wish to use a pastry brush to ensure the whole surface is covered.

    9. Wrap the loaf in kitchen foil and place it on to a baking sheet.

    10. Bake in the oven for around 20 minutes, before removing the foil and baking for a further 5-10 minutes.

    11. Serve immediately.
